CASA
Court Appointed Special Advocates seek to promote and protect the best interests of children in the foster care community. I have volunteered with CASA since moving to Brookings in 2021.
Society of Policy Scientists
The Society of Policy Scientists is a group of policy analysts, program practitioners, and academics who use a comprehensive, problem-oriented approach to addressing important policy challenges. I have served on the Executive Council since 2020 and have been a member since 2014.
SDStates' Students Association
I served as a faculty advisor for the South Dakota State University’s Students’ Association from 2022-2024. The Students’ Association Senate serves as the representative body of SDSU students and allocates student funds to support campus life.
Past Service
As a postdoc at the University of Illinois, she is serving as a money mentor with Illinois Extension to help local families to set and meet financial goals. As a Ph.D. student she was the head of Doctoral Organizing Committee and was a Rackham Professional Development Leader, where she organized weekly professional development events for her Ph.D. community. During her MS at Texas Tech she taught English as a Second Language with Literacy of Lubbock.
